New BackWoods

If you came here from the old blog then you are pretty much aware of what is going on. If you were redirected here this is a new blog and the posts have been imported from Blogger. So if you read back through them some might not make a whole hell of a lot of sense.

At any rate – From this post forward, this is the new home for the BackWoods Drifter blog. And I’m liking it already. :)

I like your new home! Good move, and good luck!

I think you’re fighting the good fight, but I know it’s gonna be a tough one. I wish nothing but the best for your efforts!

  • The new home looks good! I think you should stick with it:)

  • Since finding your site I have checked it out almost daily and always value what I read there. Good luck with the new location and look, fellow WordPresser.

Good move Denny! Noticed the URL up there and have a tip if you’d like it.. Go into your WordPress control panel, then options, then permalinks. I use “date and name based”, but numeric is also fine. You want to do this for SEO reasons, you want keywords in the URL if possible, but anything other than the default /?p=xxx will be better. Google doesn’t like these urls that much.

I know I’m new to blogging but I have been studying SEO since November and just trying to pay back the help you have given ;)

Philip – Thanks I appreciate it.

    Arthur – Thanks, It’s a done deal. :)

Mountaingoat I appreciate your visits. That is a very interesting blog you have. When I first saw your Mountaingoat alias I assumed you were in WV or at least the Appalachia’s. I missed that assumption by a mile or two. I’m going to be transferring my friends blog links here and I’ll link you. :)

Brian – thanks for your input on the blog. You’ve made the transition not quite the nightmare I expected it to be. I already knew about the post title thing – just hadn’t got that far yet.
