Who me? Well maybe just a little.
Actually I’ve never really been too opinionated. I get that way when I see anything going on that is of a bullying nature. Massey Energy / Walker Machinery on one side – the people of Appalachia and the mountains on the other. I’ve always had a problem with bullies and will stand on the opposing side regardless of the odds.
I live by a high moral standard. It is one trait that I am very proud to have. This crusade, as it’s been called, is because I think what is going on is just wrong. I don’t just think it, I know it in my heart. I’m a resident of the Southern West Virginia coalfields. I feel the explosions.
I’ve said that I was going to get back to blogging about other stuff but this thing kind of has my soul consumed at the moment. I wouldn’t be able to live with myself if I didn’t speak up while I had the opportunity to do so.
I’ve been tossing around the idea of hiking the trail for a cause. Betcha can’t guess the cause. 
I’m still making plans for that adventure and actually I am even more excited about it. Hiking the Appalachian Trail to benefit the Appalachian Mountains. I betcha the trail would take care of me. 
When one tugs at a single thing in nature; he finds it attached to the rest of the world.
Hiking for a cause is a very good idea. I’m guessing some of the organizations fighting against MTR could certainly use donations.
My thoughts exactly – Plus it will add a few kilowatts of power to the light I want to shine on the issue.

I think it is hilarious to observe the gnashing of teeth that is happening within the enviro community over a cartoon bug. Really gets to you doesn’t it?
