First of all, Welcome to 2008 at the BackWoods Drifter!! This is going to be a great year. I think most people that visit here know about the hike so I’m not going to beat that dead horse… so to speak. What I will say though, five months and counting down. I hear the clock ticking louder every day. I’ve about decided to cancel my trip to New Orleans till after the hike. I’ve got a lot of preparations to make and only five months to get it done in. But, I’ll git-r-done…
On another note, I’m lending my voice to a couple of, what I believe to be, worthwhile causes this year. You’ll be hearing more about those soon. It’s going to be a busy 2008 on and off the blog.
If I could make one suggestion to everyone in the world for 2008 it would be this… Do the right thing.
I hope everybody gets what they deserve in the new year. 
When one tugs at a single thing in nature; he finds it attached to the rest of the world.
